Grāmatas apraksts no Goodreads/Synopsis from Goodreads:

Who is the Inventor, and what does he want with the all-new Ms. Marvel and all her friends? Maybe Wolverine can help! If Kamala can stop fan-girling out about meeting her favorite super hero, that is. Then, Kamala crosses paths with Inhumanity — by meeting the royal dog, Lockjaw! But why is Lockjaw really with Kamala? As Ms. Marvel discovers more about her past, the Inventor continues to threaten her future. Kamala bands together with some unlikely heroes to stop the maniacal villain before he does real damage, but has she taken on more than she can handle? And how much longer can Ms. Marvel’s life take over Kamala Khan’s? Kamala Khan continues to prove why she’s the best (and most adorable) new super hero there is!

Manas pārdomas/My thoughts

Ja atmiņa neviļ kaut kas līdzīgs bija manāms The Brave and the Bold #54 izdevumā; starppaaudžu domstarpības bijušas pirms 50 gadiem un jādomā nekur nepazudīs arī tagad.

***************************************

Kamala or Ms. Marvel is very fresh and new superhero, and she has plenty to learn about what she can do and the limit of her powers.

In the second volume Generation Why continues Ms. Marvel’s fight with villain the Inventor. The face of this name belongs to a creature with bird’s head (just don’t tell him that he is a bird, at least not when he is around), but the Inventor sometimes calls himself Thomas Edison because he is a clone of him, just with a nice addition from parrot family. But next to him, in the shadow of Inventors stands possibly the actual evil mind, a very inconspicuous man Knox, who is excellent at not being noticed.

Luckily for Kamala, she starts to gain friends among superheroes with some experience on the battlefield like Wolverine; didn’t saw Deadpool hanging around :D. Lockjaw, a gigantic dog with the ability to teleport and maybe more was really something and created funny moments.

The Inventor is so wicked that he in his misdoings uses teens after he has brainwashed them that their generation with their constant looking at the phones are only parasites, and that they would improve their lives by helping him. If my memory doesn’t deceive me that in issue 54 of The Brave and the Bold we could see something similar, and even after 50 years and probably forever disagreements between generations will continue.

  1. I really want to read the first volume of this. It’s been on my TBR for ages and I need to find the time to check it out from the library. Sorry I didn’t comment on your blog before August was over. I actually got pretty sick, but am finally recovering. It’s been fun reading and commenting on your blog through the month of August!
