Grāmatas apraksts no Goodreads/Synopsis from Goodreads:

It should have been a night to remember, but Maura Isles can’t recall a thing.

Maura is at a party. A handsome man approaches. He’s charming and sophisticated. She flirts and drinks champagne. And then nothing. Total blackness. Nothing, that is, apart from these two facts: a man is dead and her address is found in his pocket . . .

Mana recenzija (pārdomas)/My (thoughts) review

***************************************

What you should do if your colleague and friend seem to be guilty of murder? How can you remain objective? Detective Jane Rizzoli gets into such a situation when Maura’s business card with her home address written on its back is found in the pocket of unknown man’s tuxedo.

Initially all the evidence point in Maura’s direction, and so some detectives like Crowe, which lately have been a big jerk, doesn’t hesitate to make quick deduction. Luckily, when the victim is investigated a bit closer, it turns out he hasn’t been the perfect citizen.

If the previous short story Freaks was perfect for those who haven’t read the series before to get acquainted, then for this it’s useful if you already have read few book from the series to understand the relationships between characters.

This week I finished to watch the TV series with the same title and I can definitely say that the books are much better and only the main ideas from them are taken; there are few major changes that I’m not a fan of. Also in the first ten episodes there wasn’t one where they could catch the perpetrator in about 40 minutes and it would feel good, not even mentioning going through the whole book.
