Grāmatas apraksts no Goodreads/Synopsis from Goodreads:

More than two years after the unexplained plague killed every other male mammal on the planet, the two exceptions – aspiring escape artist Yorick Brown and his pet monkey Ampersand – have traveled across the remains of the U.S. with biochemist Dr. Allison Mann and goverment operative Agent 355 to Dr. Mann’s lab in San Francisco, where she managed to finally isolate the source of their immunity.

Unfortunately, that source is within Ampersand’s body, which was last seen disappearing under the arm of a mysterious Japanese mercenary. Now, accompanied by 355 and Dr. Mann, the last man on Earth has embarked on a new and even more hazardous journey – following Ampersand’s trail across the Pacific, where danger threatens from below as well as above the waves.

Mana recenzija (pārdomas)/My (thoughts) review

***************************************

At the end of vol.5 Ampersand (because of him Yorick is alive) was kidnapped and probably taken to Japan, and right from the begging vol.6 throws us into continuation of the story, because of that the first few moments were a bit confusing for me until I remembered what I said at the beginning.

I guess I shouldn’t be unpleasantly surprised anymore by another art style change. For now from all the graphic novel series I have read (not many yet but still) this is the only one like that. :/

As the title Girl on Girl says between action scenes there is an f/f episode; unfortunately the cover even before you have started to go farther on reveals the particular characters.

Australia is revealed as one of those rare countries that managed to stay more or less civilized after the apocalyptical event. It’s only a little strange the military service uses piratical methods to gain the necessary resources. If we talk about Australia then I have to mention that we are reminded of Hero’s existence, where she and her colleagues are in the hands of aborigines.

Although something is happening and there isn’t a standstill, I couldn’t say that it added anything much to the plot, and after a decent fifth volume this one was disappointing.
