Mana recenzija (pārdomas)/My (thoughts) review

Daļu no laika sekojam līdzi izraēļu pulkvedei Alterei.

***************************************

Yorick, his monkey Ampersand, agent 355 and Dr. Mann has to make a detour when they unexpectedly meet Russian sent representative Natalya to welcome home their astronaut after their landing (one of three) and in addition it is he! Besides the Russian with him are two Americans, from whom one also is male. These news that Yorick after everything might not be the last man on Earth could lift at least a little part of responsibility that Yorick feels is on him.

Part of the story we follow an Israeli colonel Alter. The third volume isn’t her debut in the series, but if previously we didn’t know who or what gave her information and orders, then in One Small Step it is finally revealed and the voice has a name. Although the goal for both sides is the same their interest don’t, and that’s enough for the loyalty against each other would be weaker than it should be.

I have to be honest about the illustrations, the change of art style was a bad surprise for me and I couldn’t get used to it the whole volume. The characters of course are the same and I do recognize them, but their look is different enough to put me off. That might be one of the biggest reasons why I gave the lowest rating to this volume comparing to first and second.
