Grāmatas apraksts no Goodreads/Synopsis from Goodreads:
Vincent Lemarco is a Hollywood heartthrob until the fateful day when a car accident leaves him horribly disfigured and ends his acting career.
Alone and trying to piece his life back together, he moves to Little Creek, the small town where he was born and where he is known only as the reclusive Vincent Blake.
He is happy to keep to himself and mourn his losses until the day he finds an injured dog along the side of the road.
Annie, the veterinarian who fixes up the injured dog, soon becomes the woman Vincent’s heart longs for.
It seems as if Vincent is getting a second chance at life and love when a call from his agent, offering one last shot at stardom, puts everything in jeopardy. Will he choose to return to the Hollywood life of Vincent Lemarco or stay in Little Creek with the woman he loves?

Mana recenzija/My review
Noteikti palīdz, ka Vinsents patur atrasto suni (Bastions). :D Domājams šis romantiskais stāsts patiks suņu mīļiem.
Hollywood star Vincent Lemarco looks from above to others and mostly his relationships aren’t longer than six months but everything changes after car crash.
Annie after painful divorce have made big changes in her life, together with her dog Zander she moves to little town, Little Creek, where she opens her own veterinary practice.
Vincent Blake after the accident rarely lives his new house; also his attitude now is more grounded. That changes after Blake founds an injured dog left on road and brings him to veterinary. That is first encounter for Annie and Vincent.
Annie isn’t repelled by his scars and surprises herself that she is ready for new relationship. Probably it helps that Vincent keeps the dog, Bastion his name. I suppose dog lovers might certainly like this romantic story.
