Tādiem, kuri pirmo daļu lasījuši pirms krietna laiciņa, kā man, vai vienkārši piemirsuši, kas īsti tajā noticis, lieti noderēs sākumā esošais īsais pārstāsts. Diemžēl otrajā grāmatā esošais Eragons nav tāds, kāds nu atmiņās bija palicis.
Par spīti savam lielajam apjomam(gandrīz 700 lapaspuses), pa visu to nekas īpašs nenotiek. Notikumi pārlieku izstiepti, daži pat bezjēdzīgi, un par sliktu nebūtu nācis arī šo to saīsināt.
Tātad Eragons kopā ar savu pūķeni Safiru nevar ilgi priecāties par izcīnīto uzvaru, jo ļaunais valdnieks (naidnieks) Galbatorikss joprojām sēž tronī, kas viņam nepienākas, un kaļ savus nešpetnos plānus. Tāpēc Eragons un Safira dodas pie elfiem, lai turpinātu apmācību un kļūtu stiprāki.
Tikmēr Kārvahallas ciematā Eragona pazušana mieru nerada, un Impērija grib sagūstīt Roranu, Eragona brālēnu, cerībā īstenot mērķus, izmantodami viņu. Situācijas spiests Rorans, neskatoties uz savu vecumu, kļūst par visa ciemata līderi. Turpmākās viņu gaitas visai neticamas.
Gan Eragona, gan Rorana ziņā mēģināts attīstīt romantisko līniju, bet ne sevišķi veiksmīgi. Līdzīgi abos kaitināja pēc ienaidnieka nogalināšanas momentānā līdzjūtība un sevis nicināšana par to, arī citās situācijas visai krasas jūtu un uzskaitu maiņas.
Uz beigu pusi varēju saskatīt pāris līdzības no Gredzenu pavēlnieka. Kā arī paredzams nākošās daļas iznākums.
Iespējams, vienkārši esmu par vecu šādam stāstam un mērķauditorija ir pavisam cita.
For those who read first book a long time ago like me or have just forgotten a little what happened, the little recount of events will be useful. Sadly but the Eragon in this book isn’t the same as I remembered him.
Despite the amount of pages nothing extra happens. Events are too long and too stretched, some just pointless, and might be better if some would have been shortened.
So after recent victory Eragon and Saphira can’t celebrate too much and have to go to elves to finish their learning, so they could beat the evil and false King Galbatorix. Reminded LOTR a bit.
Meanwhile in the home village of Eragon. Just because he isn’t there doesn’t mean a peaceful life for villagers. Following events are crazy and sometimes unbelievable. All that forces Roran to become a leader of all villagers.
There are romantic attempts for both Ronan and Eragon but in either case those tries are unsuccessful and unnecessary. Something similar was that both after killing their enemy regretted it and felt instantaneous compassion, also in other situations quite drastic change of feelings and opinions.
Maybe I’m just too old for this kind of story and the target group is completely different.
